Vacation Rental Cleaning · the Lowcountry
Hilton Head had 7,112 short-term rental permits at the start of 2025, mostly near the beach, and every one of those homes needs a turnover between guests. Many changeovers land on the same day of the week, so a crew may clean several houses in a few hours. Sand, pool towels and beach gear come with the job, along with linens, restocking and a quick check for damage before the next family arrives.
Ask how they report damage or missing items, whether they supply linens or launder yours, and who covers a cleaning when the regular crew is out. Running a house from away is covered in Wade Banks's piece on second homes.
The cleaners see the house more than the owner does. I'd pick a crew that sends a picture of the drip under the sink, not just the made beds.
