Pest Control · the Lowcountry
Warm weather most of the year means ants, roaches, spiders, rodents and termites never really take a season off. Crawl spaces under older houses in Beaufort and Ridgeland, pier foundations in Old Town Bluffton and the slab villas on Hilton Head each invite different trouble. Formosan termites, which Clemson says arrived in Charleston in the 1950s, add another reason to have someone looking under and around the house regularly.
Ask whether the plan includes a termite inspection or covers general pests only, and how often they treat. Wade Banks explains how to spot the invasive kind in Formosan termites in the Lowcountry.
I'd ask the tech to go under the house or up in the attic, not just spray the baseboards. Whatever's getting in usually shows you where the gaps and the water are.
