Contributing editor

Ray Croft grew up in Ludowici, Georgia, and spent his working life building homes around Savannah, most of them on Skidaway Island and in The Landings. When Savannah got too busy for him he moved across the river to Bluffton. At 65 he's mostly retired, which in practice means design work and forensic inspections for construction defects. He writes about what he sees after the contractor goes home.
