Two sets of rules can land on one lot here. A contributing building in the historic district answers to the Historic Review Board, and a lot in an A flood zone has to put the lowest floor at least 13 feet above mean sea level. Raising an old house to meet one while satisfying the other takes experience with both. Ask to see past Board submissions.
