Propane runs a lot more than grills here: standby generators, tankless water heaters, gas fireplaces, outdoor kitchens and pool heaters. Rural homes in Jasper County and many newer houses use it for cooking and heat as well. Storm season makes the tank matter, since a generator is only as good as the fuel behind it, and salt air is hard on regulators and fittings near the water.
