Golf Carts · Hilton Head Island, SC
Rental carts get driven by a new set of people every week, which is hard on the batteries, the brakes and the charger. Ask a Hilton Head cart shop about a service plan between seasons, and whether they can check the outlet and charger at the house as well as the cart itself.

Electric Mokes are the draw at Carolina Rides on New Orleans Road, Hilton Head Island, which calls itself the exclusive Moke America dealer for South Carolina and Georgia. Mokes can be bought after a test drive or rented by visitors, and the company also sells Ellwee golf carts, Radinn jetboards and KAASPEED scooters.
Street-legal low-speed vehicles, Mokes included, are what Slow Rides rents from Hunter Road on Hilton Head Island, delivered to the driveway and picked up at the end of the stay. It also delivers in Old Town Bluffton where local rules allow.
Six-seat low-speed vehicles from Sea Turtle Rentals on Mathews Drive go only to single-family homes in Sandcastles by the Sea and Folly Field on Hilton Head Island; the company doesn't deliver to condos, resorts or hotels. The vehicles are registered, plated and legal on roads posted at 35 mph or less.
