Fences · Beaufort, SC
A fence in the historic district is a design decision before it's a carpentry job. On a contributing building, fence changes go to the Historic Review Board, so ask whether the company has put together a submission before. Outside the district, wet ground near the marsh is the bigger issue, since posts set in poorly drained soil rot at the grade line first.
