Sunrooms and Screened Porches · Hilton Head Island, SC
Turning a screened porch into a heated sunroom adds living space, and on Hilton Head that can bring flood rules into the picture. A porch slab poured at grade on an older house may sit below the elevation the Town now sets for new living areas. Ask the contractor to check the flood zone and the permit path before anyone draws up the room.
